The My Safety Shield Craftivity complements the Foundation Health curriculum and is designed to empower students with protective behaviours and help-seeking strategies. This craftivity encourages students to explore who they can contact when they or someone else feels uneasy or unsafe.

During this craft activity, students create their personal ‘safety shield’. They draw the individuals they could turn to within its three circles for help. They can then colour in and attach the straps to have their safety shield. As an extension, students could also write two helpful phrases on the shield for asking for assistance.

This craftivity is part of our Making Healthy & Safe Choices Foundation Health Unit.
