NAIDOC Week Worksheet

Description
Support your students in learning about and reflecting on the significance of NAIDOC Week with our NAIDOC Week Worksheet. Designed as an age-appropriate introduction to this important celebration, the worksheet invites students to record key facts and express their understanding through drawing and discussion.
NAIDOC Week is held in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It provides an opportunity for all Australians to engage with the world’s oldest continuous living cultures and participate in celebrations that promote respect, understanding, and unity.
Whether you're reading a story, watching a video, or holding a class discussion, this worksheet serves as a thoughtful follow-up activity that helps students process what they’ve learned. It also encourages meaningful classroom conversations about diversity, inclusion, and the ways communities come together to honour First Nations peoples.
The inclusion of illustrations by our First Nations partnership artist, Ryhia Dank from Nardurna, adds a unique and culturally authentic visual element to support student learning.
