Learning one's name plays a significant role in self-identity and self-importance, and your students will love creating this adorable aeroplane-themed craft which allows them to practise writing and ordering the letters in their name!

This engaging craft activity includes editable templates and can be completed in two ways. Choose from:

1. Cut and Paste Planes: Students will cut and assemble their planes using the included templates. They can either draw themselves in the front window or add a photo! Students can then write the letters of their name on the blank window pieces (alternatively, provide windows with typed letters). Allow students to practise ordering the letters of their names before gluing them down. Finally, students can then add the plane’s wing below the row of windows, in the centre of the plane.
2. Pre-assembled Planes: Students will cut and assemble their planes using the included templates. They can either draw themselves in the front window or add a photo! Students can then write the letters of their name on the windows. Finally, students can then add the plane’s wing below the row of windows, in the centre of the plane.

To create an eye-catching display, showcase the completed name plane crafts around the included banner! If your students are completing a writing template, display them above, below or beside their craft.

While the crafts can be completed using the included templates only, you might like to personalise them by adding photos of your students to the planes’ front windows!

Younger students may require assistance with the cutting and assembling of their crafts and the formation and ordering of the letters of their name.
