Our Narrative Writing Year 3 Assessment: Fairy Tales Down Under is the ideal way to assess your students’ understanding of narrative writing. Students will apply knowledge of narrative structure, features and conventions to compose an adaptation of a familiar fairy tale, guided by a prompt. This versatile resource is ideal to use at any time of year, but especially prior to end of semester reports or in preparation for NAPLAN! To complete this task, students will follow the process of planning, writing and editing to adapt a familiar fairy tale to be set in an Australian landscape. Our narrative prompts include The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs.
