National Sorry Day is commemorated on the 26th May every year in recognition of the pain and suffering experienced by those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples who were forcibly removed from their families under Australian Government laws from the 1800’s and the 1970’s.
This resource contains worksheets asking students to reflect on why the day is commemorated and what we can do to acknowledge those affected.
Two versions with varying line lengths have been included to suit all grades.
