This resource asks students to choose a teen number and then work with this number in a variety of ways. They will show numbers before and after, counting on and counting backwards, displaying the number on a number line or partitioned into tens and ones and more.

Included is a PowerPoint file and the recording sheet. The PowerPoint steps students through completing the assessment and filling out the recording sheet - which makes it easier to complete as a whole class. A few additional options of wording/activities have been included on the slides - just choose which are suitable for your class.
