Description

Once students have built confidence with numbers 1–5, it’s time to extend their understanding with the Number Collector Game: Recognising Numbers 6–10. This engaging, movement-based activity helps students practise identifying and recognising numbers from 6 to 10 using a range of visual representations.

As students move around the vibrant game board, they’ll land on a space that shows a number represented as a numeral, ten frame, tally, dice pattern or object group. They then add a counter to the matching space on their My Number Collection strip. The first student to fill their collection strip – with one counter for each number from 6 to 10 – is the winner!

Perfect for reinforcing number recognition through play, this low-prep game provides opportunities for repetition, comparison, and mathematical discussion. Pair it with the Number Collector Assessment: Recognising Numbers 6–10 for a complete review and evidence of student understanding.
