Are you looking for a fun way to reinforce counting skills to 10 or 20? Our Number Match & Order worksheets are the resource for you! This activity is ideal to completed after reading the picture book, One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab by April Pulley Sayre and Jeff Sayre.

This engaging and hands-on set of worksheets will challenge your students to cut, count, match, paste and order. To complete the task, students will cut out 10 images, each representing a number. They will find the matching digit on the worksheet and paste the picture on top. To complete the task, students can write the 10 numbers in order along the bottom of the page. We have included three versions of this task to suit the needs of your class:

1. Numbers 1-10
2. Numbers 11-20
3. Numbers 1-20

Prior to completing the activity, ensure that students are familiar with the included images and their number of feet:

1. Snail = 1 foot
2. Person = 2 feet
3. Dog = 4 feet
4. Insect = 6 feet
5. Spider = 8 feet
6. Crab = 10 feet

Please note that some of the cards include multiple images that must be combined to find the total. For example, if the picture includes a dog and a snail, the total is 5.

Number Match & Order would be a wonderful way to consolidate skills during a whole class lesson or it could be used as part of small group rotations.
