Odd One Out Peg It is a hands-on set of task cards that will challenge students to determine the ‘odd one out’ in sets of images.

Students will need to consider the category displayed on each task card to decide which image does not belong. Identifying similarities and common features between the images will be essential to complete the task cards. Once students have determined the ‘odd one out’, they will mark it on the task card using a peg. Alternatively, students could also mark the task card using a counter or play dough (or any other suitable alternative). A black-and-white recording sheet is also included where students can record their answers by colouring the ‘odd one out’.

Odd One Out Peg It is a low-preparation resource, once it is printed and cut it can be used time and time again. Given this resource’s potential to become a favourite with your students and be on high rotation, we recommend printing the task cards on cardstock for longevity. Both a colour and low-colour version is included, ensuring there is one that is suitable for your needs.
