Oral Language: Sort It! provides students with the opportunity to improve their oral language and fine motor skills as they sort, describe, cut, paste and colour in a variety of images.
This resource comes with three themed worksheets, including bugs, ocean and fruit. Students will need to cut and sort the images according to size. As they sort, they can be encouraged to use terms such as ‘small’, ‘medium and ‘large', explaining their reasons for choosing a particular order.
We also recommend having students describe other aspects of each image, including shape, colour and feel.
Our SCUMPS Posters and SCUMPS Display would be ideal to refer to during this task. If you’re looking for more oral language activities, check out Oral Language: Categorise It! and Oral Language: Where is It?
This resource is available in our basic fun font and all Australian state fonts.
