Description
Your students can practise their addition problem solving skills using partitioning with these engaging code creator worksheets.
Three-digit addition problems need to be created for another classmate to solve using partitioning. Some numbers in the partitioning or the answers will be circled or highlighted. These numbers must describe the appearance of an emoji when used with the code provided. After solving the problems, the classmate must draw the correct emoji.
Three differentiated versions of the worksheets are available. The first requires only calculations to be created. The second version also requires some word problems, and the third version has a code with higher numbers to encourage more regrouping.
When you have decided which version of the worksheets to give to which students, you can print out the number of copies that you need and start the maths fun!
