This assessment task has students use their scientific knowledge regarding thermal insulators to create a design solution to keep something cool or warm.

They will also outline a way to test their prototype’s ability to keep their chosen item cool or warm and must determine what they could compare the data to.

Students will finally create a print advertisement showing their prototype and its proposed features.
