Engage your kinaesthetic learners with this hands-on number line sorting activity. Students place cards with given values along a number line, converting measurements and fractions where necessary. Each set contains 30 cards covering a given topic:

• Set 1: Place Value (tenths and hundredths)
• Set 2: Money
• Set 3: Measurement (mass)
• Set 4: Measurement (length)
• Set 5: Measurement (volume)
• Set 6: Mixed Numerals

Sets can be used separately or combined depending on year level, ability and content covered. These activities are designed to be completed in a small group rotation, however they can also be used as an independent or paired activity. Sets can also be simplified by only providing the first 15 cards to students.

This download comes with one printable number line to be used with all sets. We recommend printing on thick card so that this resource can be re-used over multiple classes. For additional support, try scaling up the pages to A3 paper for larger pieces.
