Activities that use the same fine motor muscles needed for handwriting and pencil control are super important in the early years of school. Activities such as threading, using tweezers and water droppers are just some examples of these types of activities.
This resource contains a cute hands-on activity involving the use of tweezers where students will help the bees collect pollen.
Using tweezers, students will transfer the pollen (pom poms or beads) from the flower mats to the hive.
Attach the hive to a collection basket and cut out the ‘doorway’ for students to ‘post’ the pollen to add that extra interactive level.
