Print or write the words you want students to play with on yellow paper. You could use sight words, spelling words, topic-specific words etc. Cut the paper into pieces and scrunch them into little popcorn pieces!
Students take turns pulling out a piece of 'popcorn' and need to read and write down the word on it. If they can't spell it correctly they put the popcorn word back in the tub and wait for their next turn. The first to fill all their popcorn pieces is the winner.
Laminate the game board, or place inside write and wipe sleeves, and have students write on it in whiteboard marker for reuse.
Cheap popcorn holders can be purchased from Big W.
