Students will love creating a pencil case filled with positive affirmation pencils. This creative craft is ideal to be completed at the start of the school year or any time your students need a wellbeing boost. Reading the words on the pencils is sure to create lots of happy faces in your classroom!

Using the included templates, each student will create a pencil case pocket that holds a collection of positive affirmation pencils. To create the pencil case, they will simply cut and glue the pocket to the front of the pencil case template. Students may wish to use art and craft supplies to decorate the pencil case before adding their collection of pencils, each of which will be adorned with a positive affirmation! To suit the needs of your class, we have included multiple templates:

1. 3 pencil case templates (two with headings and one blank).
2. 2 pencil case pockets (one with a happy face and one blank).
3. 7 pencil templates (includes pencils with prompts and one blank).

In addition to the templates above, we have also included an eye-catching banner. Use this banner to create a beautiful display of your students’ completed crafts.

Please note that to complete the craft, students will require access to colouring utensils, scissors and glue. Whilst not essential, we also recommend that they have access to craft items to decorate their pencil cases with, such as googly eyes, pom poms, sequins and feathers. Younger students may benefit from having the templates enlarged to A3 and will require assistance with the cutting and assembling of their crafts.

Printing the templates on thick cardstock is recommended. To add colour, either print the templates on coloured cardstock or provide time for students to paint them with colours of their choice.
