Have your students practice discerning words with specific prefixes through this task card activity.

With 20 interactive task cards, this activity allows your students to recognise words with prefixes by applying the mechanics of the game “I Spy.” To start, students will choose a card and read the given words. Next, they will circle all the words that contain the prefixes dis-, mis-, un- and re-. Extend students by asking them to identify one specific prefix or by having them use found words in a sentence on a mini whiteboard.
