Have your students apply their knowledge of prefixes to discover and create words through this task card activity.

With 20 interactive task cards, this activity allows your students to create and write their own words using the prefixes they have learned and understand how the word's meaning changes. To start, students will choose a card and roll the dice. Next, they will read the word that the dice landed on and identify a prefix they can use to change the meaning of the word. Using a marker, they will rewrite the word with its prefix on the blank and then highlight the prefix using a dabber pen.

This low-prep task card set is sized to fit in the Kmart rainbow photo storage. It is also suitable for both individual and small group work.
