Shapes in Space POWERPOINT
Description
Travel into space while exploring 2D shapes with this interactive PowerPoint game.
This dynamic resource includes 2 activities that you may choose from. Game 1 is a Pictionary-style activity that allows the students to identify different twelve 2D shapes namely circle, heart, hexagon, octagon, oval, pentagon, rectangle, rhombus, square, star, trapezoid, and triangle. There is also a “trace it†button to demonstrate how the figure is drawn. This activity also includes real-life 2D shape objects.
The second game gives an opportunity to the students to test what they have learned in the Pictionary activity. The students will have to destroy the moving asteroids so that the rocket will be able to land the planet Earth. In order to destroy an asteroid, the students are tasked to answer the correct shape of the given object.
