Description

Reconciliation Week: Taking Action Worksheets is a reflective and empowering resource designed to help students connect personally with the meaning of Reconciliation Week. Observed annually from May 27 to June 3, immediately after National Sorry Day, Reconciliation Week is a time to honour the culture and contributions of First Nations peoples and to work toward inclusivity and mutual respect across our nation.

Inspired by this year’s theme, ‘Bridging Now to Next’, this worksheet encourages students to explore how they can take positive action to build a future grounded in understanding, fairness and connection. Through writing and drawing, students reflect on their own role in reconciliation—considering how everyday actions like kindness, learning, listening and standing up for fairness contribute to a more united future.

This task offers differentiated support with multiple line width options (24mm, 18mm and 14mm), and includes a drawing-only version for younger learners. Whether students express their thinking through art, writing or both, this resource supports thoughtful engagement with the goals of reconciliation in a developmentally appropriate way.
