Research a cultural rite of passage with this template when learning about changes experienced during adolescence.

With this task, students choose a rite of passage and complete the template that includes:

• the name of the rite of passage
• cultural group
• when it occurs
• what occurs during the rite of the passage
• the symbolism
• similar rites of passage
• particular vocabulary associated with the rite of passage.

When completing this activity, have some rites of passage ready for the students to choose from before starting the research task. Research these cultural traditions during adolescence and link students to appropriate information.
