Description

Support your Foundation students in their Physical Sciences: On the Move unit of work with this fun experiment.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Experiment challenges students to think about how they can manipulate an object to make it move in a different way. Using their understanding of rolling and sliding, students will take a flat rock and use a range of materials to see if they can make it roll down a ramp.

Students will need to consider the parts of an experiment, from making predictions to recording results and drawing conclusions.

Aside from ensuring the required materials are available, this lesson is low prep but is sure to engage and challenge students.

This resource is part of our Physical Sciences Foundation UNIT PLAN.
