In the early years, it's all about learning names - not just writing them but also identifying them and knowing the correct order of the letters.

Print out the rockets and write each student's name in them (one letter per segment reading downwards) and then cut the rocket into pieces. Each student is given their pile of rocket pieces, and needs to be able to order and glue them to a piece of paper so as to correctly spell their name (letters in order, letters upright etc.).

Also included are the header cloud and the assessment tag to attach once completed. You may wish to have students colour in the completed activity.
