Our Root Word Rescue activity provides students with the opportunity to practise building words from Greek and Latin roots and simultaneously expand their vocabulary! The science of reading has proven that teaching morphology concepts, such as Greek and Latin roots, helps students to become more effective readers, especially when presented with challenging or complex texts.

To complete this task, students will apply their understanding of Greek and Latin roots to create lists of words. They will record these words on the relevant ladder template.
