This adorable Christmas-themed craft is based on the book Santa Bilby by Miranda Birthisel. Your students will love creating their own cute Santa Bilby stuck in Christmas lights!

Using the provided templates, students will cut and assemble Santa Bilby. The templates can either be printed on coloured or white card and cardstock. If printing on white, provide time for your students to either paint or colour in the pieces before cutting and assembling. Once Santa Bilby is assembled, students can make the Christmas lights by threading beads on black pipe cleaners and gluing them to Santa Bilby’s body. As an alternative, black wool and colourful pom poms can be used to create this effect. Finally, students can glue other craft items to enhance their craft, such as large fluffy grey pipe cleaners as tails, black pom poms as noses and trimmed thin black pipe cleaners as whiskers. Cotton balls or white pom poms can also be glued to the Santa hats. The completed crafts can be displayed alongside the included banner!
