Teaching co-ordinates? Need to practice identifying longitude and latitude? Look at our Asian Scavenger Hunt!

This activity assists students in identifying the latitude and longitude of different places within in Asia. Provide each student with a worksheet for them to practice the skills individually, partners or alternatively complete this as a jigsaw strategy:

• Put students in groups of 4 to 6
• Each student researches and finds the answer to 2 – 3 locations. Make sure each that the locations that are provided to students are the same.
• Students meet with others with the same locations to research to find the answers to questions.
• Students bring this information back to their original group and share their answer and record in all the information in their table.
