In this fun craftivity, students will identify the places that hold significance to them and their families. They will use these places to decorate a handprint which can be used as part of a display in your classroom.
You will need to research and identify your traditional land owners based on your school’s location.
We highly recommend contacting local elders or representatives in your area for advice, support and resources during this unit.
Your students can decorate their handprints using whatever materials you like – markers, paints, pastels, even digitally!
This activity can be printed on A4 or A3 paper depending on what size you want the final product to be.
This activity is part of our
Year 3 Geography Unit Plan.
