Turn your students into sentence detectives by asking them to identify the deliberate structural, grammatical, spelling and punctuation mistakes on the task cards.
Print the task cards and lay them on the table or hide them around your classroom to create a scavenger hunt. Once the students have identified the mistakes on the task card, they write the number of their card in the magnifying glass on the recording sheet provided and then rewrite the sentence using correct structure, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
This can be used independently or as part of a small group activity.
Top Teacher Tip: Use real magnifying glasses with this activity for a bit of fun!
