Description

Visit the robot factory where creativity takes centre stage! In this engaging digital game, students explore a series of colourful image sets to select three that meet the target criteria. Each correct group earns them a new robot part, bringing them one step closer to completing their robot masterpiece!

This version of the game focuses on visual discrimination and categorisation skills. Students carefully analyse groups of images to find three that match a specific concept or rule. It’s an excellent way to support early reasoning, vocabulary development, and concept reinforcement in an interactive format.

Show Me 3 – Let’s Build can be used to reinforce sorting, describing, and comparing attributes in a wide range of content areas. As students complete each round, they build a unique robot, culminating in a fun, animated celebration once their creation is complete!

How to Play:

  1. Students are shown a collection of images with a specific target instruction (e.g. "Show me 3 that start with S").
  2. They select three images they believe meet the given criteria.
  3. Each correct set unlocks a new robot part to add to their build.
  4. The game continues through multiple rounds with varying content and complexity.
  5. At the end, students watch their completed robot come to life in a celebration dance!

Ideas for Classroom Use:

  • 💡 Use during literacy or maths rotations to reinforce vocabulary, phonics, shapes, or number concepts.
  • 💡 Perfect for Early Years to Foundation learners building early categorisation and language skills.
  • 💡 Add to small-group instruction or fast finisher folders for independent practise.
  • 💡 Extend by having students justify or explain why their chosen images belong together.

Top Teacher Tips:

  • 💛 Send the QR code home for students to play as a homework or consolidation task.
