Description
Students correctly answer questions to reach the top of the mountain. How far will they make it up the mountain? As they progress higher up the mountain, the scenery will change. At the end, a polaroid shows how far they made it up the mountain with a score.
This is a cooperative game where, if there is more than one player, they must work together to answer the questions correctly to make it to the top of the mountain as a team. With every correct answer, students climb higher and strengthen their understanding of number patterns and place value.
Let’s Hike – Skip Counting by 2s gives students the opportunity to practise their skip counting skills in an engaging and supportive way. Whether played independently or as a team, the game reinforces fluency with counting in twos while encouraging perseverance and collaboration.

- Students are presented with a skip counting sequence and asked to identify the missing number in the pattern.
- Each correct answer helps their character climb higher up the mountain.
- Players progress through a variety of scenic landscapes as they ascend.
- The game ends when all questions are answered, and students receive a polaroid snapshot of how far they made it up the mountain.
