This package consists of a two-step problem solving mat, a variety of two-step word problems (addition, subtraction and a mix of the two) as well as answers to each of the problems. The mat can be displayed on the IWB, printed out, laminated or used in plastic sleeves and complete the other aspects of the mat. Blank templates of the word problems cards have also been provided. These can be used by giving each student a blank template and getting them to have a go at writing out a two-step word problem. Collect them once the students have completed and swap them around the room so students can use them with their mats.
