Description
Sort that Figurative Cut & Sort worksheet is a fun and engaging way for your students to recognise the difference between different types of figurative language.
There are two versions of this worksheet; a 16-piece and 32-piece cut and sort page. In this activity, students are provided with definitions and examples of each of the figurative language types as simile, metaphor, alliteration, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, imagery, idiom, and personification. The purpose of this activity is for students to identify and sort figurative language types confidently so they can apply this to their writing, especially poetry. Answers are provided.
