Practise sorting unifix /blocks and counting how many of each colour.
Students collect a handful of unifix/blocks and get started sorting them into groups before counting how many of each colour they have.
Use this as an independent activity or in pairs/small groups to help your students learn how to sort and count their data. You could even get your students to record tally marks in the sorting circles once they have sorted their physical unifix/blocks to add complexity to your lesson.
Print this sheet in A4 colour for students working in pairs or independently, or for use in write and wipe sleeves. If working in small groups, you may like to print it A3 so that your students can sort more shapes.
