Students will practise identifying blends at the start of words while playing this game.

Featuring two different game boards and spinners, you can choose 'l' controlled blends (bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl) or 'r' controlled blends (br, cr, dr, gr, pr, tr).

To play, students spin the spinner and then cover a picture matching the sound with a counter. You may like to play this as a three in a row game, or first to get rid of all of their counters.

Hint - create simple spinners using a paper clip and split pin if you don't have actual spinners!
