Spin, Find & Cover: CVC
Description
Use this game to help your students practise isolating the medial sounds in CVC words.
Suitable for independent or partner work. Students may require teacher modelling before playing independently to ensure they know what each picture is. We recommend printing the game boards on cardstock for durability.
How to play:
- Place a paper clip in the centre of the spinner, with a pencil tip holding it in place in the centre.
- Spin the paper clip.
- Say the sound the paper clip lands on out loud.
- Find a matching CVC picture word that contains that medial sound and cover it with a counter.
- Repeat for all the words.
An optional recording sheet has been provided if you would like your students to write the words.
