This resource contains a hands-on, multisensory activity to help build phonological awareness.
Students are asked to spin the spinner car to see the word that they will be working with.
1. Spin to get a word (CCVC, CVCC)
2. Count the sounds in the word and ‘press’ the pop it for that many sounds. Instead of using the paper based Pop it, you could use the real thing in it’s place.
3. Write (graph) the correct graphemes for the sounds heard in the boxes.
4. Write the word!
