This fun, hands-on resource allows students to practise counting concepts related to one more and one less than a given number. The aim of the game is for students to spin a number and squish play dough balls to represent one less and one more. Students will roll small play dough balls and place them on the ten frames on their board. They will spin a number and say it out loud. They will say the number that is one less and squish that many play dough balls to the left of the spinner. Then, they will say the number that is one more than the number on the spinner and squish that number of play dough balls on the right. We have even included a handy recording sheet if you would like your students to record their numbers. This activity is suitable for individual work in Foundation and the Early Years and would make a great addition to small group rotations or table activities. This resource includes:
