This whole class board game is designed to build resilience and teamwork while playing a game that becomes harder as students progress. The game adds additional rules as students finish each round and introduces setbacks incrementally.

Students begin the game with two players per game board. They have one six-sided die. As the students play, additional rules will be implemented. Once all the rules have been introduced, it will become clear that the game has become impossible to complete. Students must then voice this to the teacher before it is revealed how to win the game. They must combine 5 boards to create a star-shaped path and are then given two dice to roll, allowing them to finish the game.

A full instruction sheet and details about the rules of the game are included in the resource. Follow-up questions to ask students are also included to wrap up the game and lead into other teaching moments.

You will need to print enough game boards to use one per pair of students. Display the interactive PowerPoint on a screen for all students to see while they play the game. This will display the additional rules as the game progresses.
