First Nations Australians are advised that this task is based on stories of the Stolen Generations.

Help your students to develop their understanding of the Stolen Generations and comprehension skills with the Stories of the Stolen Generations Comparison Foldable task, which they will complete following the reading of stories related to the Stolen Generations, such as ‘Stolen Girl’ by Trina Saffioti, and ‘Found’ by Bruce Pascoe.

After reading the texts, students will draw a cover image, record similarities and differences between the texts and write a reflection on what they have learnt about the Stolen Generations on the templates. Please follow the instructions to assemble the foldable.

Suggested literary features for students to compare include themes, settings, characters, plot, images and symbols.
