The Sun Smart Craftivity complements the Foundation Health curriculum and is designed to help students explore strategies to keep themselves safe in the sun.

During this craft activity, students demonstrate their knowledge of the 5 S’s of sun safety: Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide by creating their own Sun Smart Foldout craftivity. Students will draw a picture of each of the 5 S’s within the circles provided and then fold along the dotted lines inwards, so the drawings are enclosed. They then colour and cut around the sun's edges, cut it in half, and then glue each half to the front folds of the 5 S’s page so it looks complete when closed.

Picture cards have been provided as prompts to help students remember the 5 S’s.
