Are you looking for fun and interactive ways to introduce your students to new story genres? To encourage students to pick up and read books they might not have considered in the past? This resource contains all you need to run a ‘Book Tasting’ event in your classroom or library with a Lolly/Sweet shop theme – perfect for the younger years. Set up like a Sweet Shop (you can keep it simple or go all out with a themed classroom), students move from table to table where different genres are being showcased.This resource includes genre posters, placemats, book tasting event posters, name badges, different response sheets and full event instructions. It also includes editable sheets to personalise the types of genre you introduce your class too.
