This task card will engage your students in counting syllables by using motor skills.   Each card contains pictures of clapping hands and four balloons with pictures. The objective of this task card activity is to put a check mark on the correct picture based on the given number of syllables.   To make this activity more engaging, have your students pretend to be at a birthday party with lots of balloons. The task card will serve as their guide on how many balloons to “pop” by clapping.
