Develop students’ ability to use line and rotational symmetry with this fun Symmetrical Patterns activity.

Students will complete symmetrical patterns using line and rotational symmetry. Three varieties of this activity will allow you to choose the one that best suits your students’ abilities. Students can copy a completed pattern, use their critical thinking skills to solve a symmetrical pattern puzzle or create their own symmetrical patterns using coloured pencils.

A coloured version of these worksheets has also been included to allow students to follow symmetrical coloured patterns. Common whiteboard colours have been used, making them perfect for printing out and slipping into write and wipe sleeves for an easy workstation.
