This set of worksheets is designed to be completed after a whole class reading of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson.  Students will be challenged to identify and label the features of the Gruffalo, with the option to also write a description of him.

Students will need to consider the language used in the text, the physical appearance of the Gruffalo and his interactions as they complete the task. In addition to a simple colour in and label option, we have included 24mm and 18mm lines for students to write a character description and a cut and paste option, including nine of the Gruffalo’s features.

Younger students may benefit from having the templates enlarged to A3.
