Support your Year 4 students in their History: Experiences of People in Australia’s Past unit of work with The Journey of the First Fleet task.

Created to coincide with Year 4 History Australian Curriculum, this activity will provide students with the opportunity to investigate the journey of the First Fleet.

Students will plot the voyage of the First Fleet from Portsmouth, England to Sydney Cove, Australia on a map that includes a compass and key. In addition, they will cut and glue fact cards that include details about important dates and locations as well as events that were experienced by those on board.
