Fill the conveyor belt and get the phenomenal pattern-making machine running! This simple board game is a great way to develop an understanding of input-output number pattern models.

Modelled on the classic game of Memory, this game asks students to identify numbers that match a given pattern rule. To play, each student draws a number rule cloud card randomly, and the number cards are shuffled and spread face down on the playing area. On their turn, students flip two cards and determine whether or not they would fit in the input and output of their rule. If a pair matches the rule, keep the cards and take another turn. The player with the most pairs wins!

This game is easily differentiated by only including the rules and number cards suited to your class and context. Extension card sets include decimal numbers to one and two decimal places.

A recording sheet is also included so that the game can be used as a stress-free assessment.

Six game board colours are included in high colour and low colour variants. Recording sheets print two to a page.
