This bright and colourful collaborative craftivity is a great way to engage your class during NAIDOC Week!
Designed to be used in tandem with a class reading of the Dreaming story The Rainbow Serpent, your students will each decorate one scale of the serpent. We recommend using layered painted fingerprints, but we’ve also included a list of ideas so you can approach this activity in whatever way you prefer.
Use the included serpent template (in colour or black & white) to display your completed scales. We recommend printing the serpent on A3 paper and printing the scales 2 to a page on A4 paper for best results.
We’ve also included additional optional resources, including a display banner and a colouring sheet.
