Description

This activity is designed to accompany a whole class reading of the book The Very Noisy Bear by Nick Bland.

Students listen to a reading of the story and colour in one section of their bear’s belly each time they hear one of the key words. At the end of the story, they will be able to visually see how many times each word appears in the story! Complete the colouring by answering key questions about the story’s plot – these questions can be completed independently or read aloud to your whole class.

Choose from three different levelled worksheets, including one version with blank spaces where you or your students can select the words to listen out for. This is great for practising predicting – what words do your students predict will appear, based on the book cover or blurb?
