This book response task for The Wild Robot by Peter Brown has students camouflaging the robot in the classroom.
The students begin the task by giving their interpretation of why the robot camouflaged itself and what it learned in doing so.
They will then recall the ways the robot camouflaged itself in the various locations on the island before finding a location around the classroom to camouflage the given template.
At the end of the activity, students will evaluate the efforts of their peers and think about what the robot would have learned by listening in their classroom.
There is a space to add a photo of the hidden robot within the classroom.
This book response task is featured in The Wild Robot Novel Study.
