Description

This book response task for The Wild Robot by Peter Brown has students designing version 2 of the ROZZUM robots. The students begin by reflecting on the initial description of the robot’s abilities and interpreting the primary function of the robot. They will then sketch a few versions of a potential successor to the first iteration of the robot and brainstorm specific tasks that a robot would be able to perform. Once they have chosen their ROZZUM 2.0 and task they wish it to perform, they will illustrate the robot performing the task and create a paper prototype of the movements that would be involved in its design. This book response task is featured in The Wild Robot Novel Study.
